Chris O'Donnell will join the cast as one of the leads of the TNT war drama, The Company.

The six-hour series, based on Robert Littell's best-selling book, shows the history of the activities of the CIA during the Cold War; The Hollywood Reporter adds it tells the story of agents imprisoned in double lives, fighting an amoral, elusive, formidable enemy, and each other, in an internecine battle within The Company itself. O'Donnell will portray Jack McCauliffe, an idealistic Yale graduate who is recruited into the CIA in 1954; he's described as being fiercely loyal to America and the ideals it is based upon, but politics, betrayal and love will test his resolve.

The Company will air sometime in 2007.
