Per reports by Forbes, comedian and actor Chris Rock recently expressed his disappointment with the Academy for overlooking Adam Sandler in their nominations.

Rock delivered a speech to honor Sandler, 56, who received the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor this week at the Kennedy Center. When discussing the ability of the 50 First Dates star, Rock had some choice words for the Academy for passing over his longtime buddy:

"If they don't want to give my man his props, then we will tonight. Nobody works as hard as the Sandman, nobody comes even close."

Other comedians and co-stars of Sandler, including Drew Barrymore, Conan O'Brien, Kevin James, Jennifer Aniston, and others, took the platform to honor Sandler.

Despite the Academy's snub, Sandler has continued to work on projects that showcase his acting ability. Hustle, one of his most recent pictures, got positive reviews and cemented his reputation as a versatile performer.

While the Academy's decision to pass over Sandler is disappointing, it is evident that he has a strong support system in the form of his fellow actors and collaborators. And with each new endeavor, Sandler demonstrates that he is a filmmaking force to be reckoned with.

Netflix's Murder Mystery Reunites Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler

Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston, who co-starred in the Netflix comedy Murder Mystery 2, disclosed that they pitched a new film idea to see "who is the better movie wife." Sandler revealed that he and Aniston have a friendly rivalry with their former co-stars. Aniston claims she is the superior movie wife because she has worked with some of Hollywood's best leading men, including George Clooney and Kevin Costner. Sandler, on the other hand, claimed to be the better movie spouse because he has worked three times with Drew Barrymore, including in the romantic comedies The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates.

The new picture, according to Sandler, will star Aniston and Barrymore as his on-screen wives, with Sandler caught in the middle of their friendly competition. The plot would center around the two women competing to outdo each other in different movie scenarios, such as saving Sandler from danger or seducing him with their charm.

While the film is still in its early stages and has yet to receive an official green light, Sandler and Aniston expressed excitement for the project and a wish to work with Barrymore again.

Fans of Sandler, Aniston, and Barrymore will undoubtedly be eager to learn more about this upcoming film endeavor.
