A new ABC series may have found its new lead actor. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Christian Slater is in negotiations to star in The Forgotten.

The pilot was picked up to series in May and is going through a recasting phase, with Slater in talks to star as the lead, originally portrayed by Rupert Penry-Jones. The female lead is also being recast as well.

The story centers on a group of novice detectives, lead by an ex-cop (Slater), whose young daughter was kidnapped three years prior. The series is set to debut on Tuesday, September 22 at 10 PM on ABC.
