Christina Hendricks has joined Gilles Paquet-Brenner's upcoming drama Dark Places. The film already has Charlize Theron, Chloe Moretz, Corey Stoll and Nicholas Hoult attached to star.

The story centers on Libby Day (Charlize Theron), who at the age of seven, witnessed her mother and two sisters being murdered in The Satan Sacrifice of Kinnakee, Kansas. After surviving this horrific ordeal, she testified that her fifteen-year-old brother, Ben (Corey Stoll), was the killer.

Christina Hendricks will be portraying Krissi, who is a stripper with a dark secret. Gilles Paquet-Brenner is direction from a script he wrote. The project is based on a novel written by author Gillian Flynn.

The actress is best known for her role as Joan Harris in AMC's drama Mad Men. She will next be seen in Ryan Gosling's directorial debut How to Catch a Monster. No production schedule has been released.
