We reported a few weeks ago that a new Bryan Singer film was entering pre-production and now it seems the director is reuniting with the writer of two of his films. Heat Vision Blog is reporting that Christopher McQuarrie has signed on to rewrite Jack the Giant Killer for Singer.

McQuarrie had previously written two films that Singer directed - The Usual Suspects and Valkyrie - and now he's taking over the writing on this film, which had previously seen drafts from writers such as Mark Bomback and Darren Lemke.

It was said that Singer would start casting the film very soon, gearing up for a summer production start in London.
