20th Century Fox is currently in talks with Max Landis, the son of director John Landis, to acquire his new superhero script entitled Chronicles, according to Heat Vision Blog.

The story revolves around a trio of Portland teens who get exposed to a supernatural substance in the woods and start to develop super powers. At first, the friends explore their new powers together, until personal and family problems cause them to turn on each other.

First-time director Josh Trank is attached to direct the film, and it was said that they would likely shoot the film in the hand-held documentary-style method made popular by such films as Cloverfield. Trank was also the editor of the Robert D. Siegel film Big Fan.
