Cillian Murphy and Lucy Liu have signed on to the romantic comedy, Watching the Detectives for Peach Arch Entertainment and Plum Pictures.

Written and directed by Broken Lizard's Paul Soter, the indie pic is about a film noir buff whose world is turned upside down when a real-life femme fatale provides far more adventure than he ever experienced, says Variety. Soter makes his directorial debut in the film.

Shooting for Watching the Detectives starts Monday in New York City.
