It seems that Disney is looking to reimagine one of its animated classics with a new live-action film. Deadline New York is reporting that Disney has bought a new pitch for a live-action film based off of Cinderella.

Screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna sold the pitch to Disney and Simon Kinberg will be producing the film. It wasn't said how much the film will deviate from the original Cinderella film, or whether the film will be in 3D or not.

No production schedule was revealed for the film. Brosh McKenna and Kinberg previously worked together on a rewrite of the current comedy Date Night and the pair are also working on an untitled film for Bad Robot's J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk.
