Tom DeSanto, producer of this summer's mega-monstrous Transformers movie, is planning to adapt City of Heroes into a film. According to Variety, this popular multiplayer role-playing videogame will also be brought to television in some capacity.

The game centers on a group of superheroes that live in Paragon City. They must team up to fight off an alien invasion from the incoming Rikti. Players who pay fourteen dollars a month get to design their own characters.

The game was originally released in 2004. It soon turned into such a popular franchise, it even got it's own comic book. There is no word on when the film will hit theaters.
