Actors Clark Gregg and James Tupper have joined the cast of the new family comedy Mr. Popper's Penguins, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The story revolves around Jim Carrey's title character, a man who inherits six penguins that shake up his ritzy life in New York City. Carla Gugino will portray his ex-wife, Amanda, with James Tupper playing Amanda's new eco-conscious boyfriend, Rick, and Clark Gregg portraying Nat Jones, who works at the New York Zoo.

Mark Waters is directing from a script by Sean Anders, John Morris and Nick Stoller. Production has already begin in New York City.
