“I assure you, we’re open! Many thanks to Lionsgate and Fathom for expanding our limited run of Clerks III to include a weekend,“ director Kevin Smith said of the news. “And even bigger thanks to the fans who already bought tickets to our Fathom screenings! All your pre-sales made this expansion happen!”

All showings will begin at 7:00 p.m. local time on these dates. The screenings will also include an exclusive look behind the scenes with Smith and the other cast and crew members involved. This movie is special for Kevin Smith as the original Clerks was the film that got him started as a filmmaker. He gets to go back to where he started with Clerks III, utilizing a meta storyline with the movie's clerks filming their own film about their lives in the Quick Stop, just as Smith himself had done in the 1990s. You can check out the official trailer and synopsis below.

For over 25 years, the cult-classic filmmaker has maintained a unique and direct connection to his audience through the View Askew Universe. Clerks III makes its highly anticipated return to the big screen as Randal (Jeff Anderson), following a massive heart attack, enlists fellow clerks Dante (Brian O’Halloran), Elias (Trevor Fehrman), Jay (Jason Mewes), and Silent Bob (Kevin Smith) to make a movie immortalizing his life at the convenience store that started it all.

Clerks III will be screened in participating theaters via Fathom Events from Sept. 13-18. You can also catch Kevin Smith taking the film on the road with The Convenience Tour. To find out more information, visit the official website for Clerks III.
