Rosario Dawson is back as Becky on the set of Clerks III. In Clerks II, Dawson made her debut in the series as a new love interest for Brian O'Halloran's Dante Hicks. Smith has previously confirmed that Dawson will return for the sequel, and now he's teasing her return with a new post on Instagram. He reveals her actor's chair along Mooby's restaurant imagery in the background, seemingly suggesting that Becky still works at the setting of Clerks II. You can check out the image below.

In the caption, Smith writes: "Becky's back! It was Day 1 for the ever-amazing @rosariodawson last night when @giannispizzeria in Red Bank cosplayed as the #moobys from Clerks II in Clerks III! It was magical seeing Dante, Randal, Becky, Elias, and @jayandsilentbob reunited, and it was at the same site where we did the first @moobyspopup outside of L.A. last fall! Days 1, 2 and 3 of our shoot have resulted in some sensational scenes, so I'm hoping today's Day 4 (an all Rosario and @briancohalloran day) keeps the streak going! Kids, I *love* what Clerks III is shaping up to be!"

Trevor Fehrman, who played Mooby's worker Elias in Clerks II, is back for Clerks III as well. Along with Rosario Dawson, they join series stars Brian O'Halloran and Jeff Anderson reprising their respective roles as Dante Hicks and Randal Graves. Jay Mewes and Smith reprise their roles as Jay and Silent Bob while Marilyn Ghigliotti returns as Dante's ex-girlfriend Veronica.

Clerks III follows Dante and Randal filming a movie at the Quick Stop about their lives as employees of the convenience store after Randal suffers a near-fatal heart attack. The concept was originally going to be used for a planned animated movie that would have served as a continuation of Clerks: The Animated Series, though the heart attack element came much later as it was inspired by Smith's own real-life heart attack.

Smith also recently provided our first look at Dante and Randal as they'll appear in Clerks III, and very fittingly, the two were back behind the counter. The image was posted on Smith's Instagram on the first day of filming which also happened to be the filmmaker's 51st birthday. Along with an image of the cast, Smith also posted a photo of his cake which brandished the message, "You are def supposed to be here today."

"I turn 51 tomorrow as we start shooting Clerks III - a sequel to a movie I dreamed about making 30 years ago, when I saw Richard Linklater's masterpiece Slacker for the first time on the night on my 21st birthday," Smith posted the day before. "So if you believe in this sorta thing, I'm gonna pass by that kid in the streams of time tonight. I wish I could give him a preview of what's to come - but he doesn't need the motivation: that kid will eventually get us here anyway."

Clerks III doesn't have an official release date set by Lionsgate at this time. For now, Smith is keeping his fans very well updated on the progress of filming on his social media.
