5 Season 5

Cobra Kai Season 5
Netflix

The latest season of the show, is no doubt its biggest. The fight scenes are more epic and bombastic than ever. Terry Silver is the maniacal villain that the show needs, and having three of Daniel LaRusso's old enemies helping him fight against the evil Terry Silver, will never not be cool. However, we can't help but feel that the kids were pushed to the sidelines this season. Which is very disappointing, as the young cast of characters, their stories, and their struggles are one of the biggest draws to the show. As opposed to previous seasons, there wasn't much time spent with characters like Miguel, Robby, Samantha, Tory, Hawk, Demetri, etc. And yes, bringing all our favorites together in the end for an epic all-out Karate war is amazing, but we didn't, however, get to spend as much time with these characters as we would have liked. Although, seeing Miguel and Robby finally get along, is quite wholesome.

4 Season 4

Season four delivered so many amazing moments fans had been anticipating seeing since the show first aired. Most notably, forcing Johnny and Daniel to work together to end Cobra Kai's reign for good, which obviously doesn't work out and causes the two to have yet another rematch. The season leads up to the epic All Valley Karate Championship, which thankfully lasts for two episodes. Delivering many great fights, high stakes, and intense rivalries, of which the rivalry between Sam and Tory still shines the brightest. Did we mention American Country singer Carrie Underwood even makes a surprising appearance to sing over a thrilling montage? Only Cobra Kai could ever pull this off and make it feel so earned.

To put the cherry on top of this brilliant season, is the return of the manipulating, pony-tailed antagonist, Terry Silver. His return to the franchise was glorious and unexpected, and only made season four so much better. Finally, season four ends with a Silver turning on Kreese, and taking Cobra Kai for himself in a shocking twist.

3 Season 2

High School Brawl - Cobra Kai
Sony Pictures Television

Season two is where the show got comfortable with itself, exaggerating on itself and the franchise in the best ways possible. Bringing back John Kreese added more rivalry and stakes to the show, and Johnny's relationship with Miguel was far more developed. The rivalry between Cobra Kai and Miyagi Do is more intense than ever, especially with John Kreese returning, and it seems like the Cobra Kai of old has come back, taking over the valley and bullying those who live in it. The drama and storylines between the kids are so intriguing this season, with Sam stuck in a love triangle between Miguel and Robby, as well as a great introduction of fan favorite, Tory. Again, the action was ruthless and over-the-top, and the season ends with an epic school brawl with devastating results.

2 Season 1

Johnny Save Miguel - Cobra Kai
Sony Pictures Television

There is no doubt that season one is the tamest of all five seasons. But that's not to say it's without the usual Cobra Kai-ism's that made this show so popular in the first place. The season is still filled with brilliant callbacks, compelling characters, sidesplitting humor, and exciting Karate action. Season one also did the impossible and made Johnny Lawrence a likable character, giving his character a surprising amount of depth, and Zabka's brilliant performance. His character was brilliantly written, and is still one of the best characters on the show.

1 Season 3

Daniel and Johnny vs Kreese - Cobra Kai
Sony Pictures Television

There is no season that defines what this show is more than season three. Well-developed characters, compelling storylines, epic fight scenes, and jaw-dropping cameos and references are all at the heart of the show, and season three delivers them all in spades. Some of the best and most impactful fight scenes occur in this season of the show, alongside some long-awaited character turns. Most notably, "Hawk's" long-awaited change of heart. Going from a relentless, arrogant bully who broke his ex-best friend's arm, back to the kind and caring Eli from before he joined Cobra Kai.

The cameos in this season truly have to be seen to be believed. From Chozen, Daniel's nemesis in The Karate Kid II, to the emotional, and anticipated return of Elizabeth Shue's Ali, the love interest in the original Karate Kid, to offer many words of advice to both Johnny and Daniel. Season three ends with an epic brawl between Johnny, Kreese, and LaRusso, before declaring to finish this rivalry at the All Valley Karate Tournament, and whoever loses must close down their dojo for good. This leads to a final scene where we see Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence join forces to teach their students more Karate to win the All Valley Tournament.
