Cobra Kai fans have a lot to look forward to in the upcoming fourth season of Netflix’s hit show, including longer episodes and a whole lot of wonderful, inspirational montages. Cobra Kai creator Hayden Schlossberg unveiled these exciting revelations during an impromptu Q&A with fans on social media, with Schlossberg saying, "One thing you don't have to worry about is montages," while teasing even more bang for our buck when it comes to Cobra Kai season 4.

As well as many more montages, Hayden Schlossberg reveals that the episodes making up season 4 will be much longer, which should come as great news to fans, who simply cannot spend enough time with 80s karate heroes Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence. While it is unknown how long some of these episodes will be, it’s safe to assume that they will likely clock in at around 45 minutes-plus, with episodes of previous series usually averaging between 20 and 30 minutes or so.

Cobra Kai reintroduces audiences to some of the greatest heroes of 1980s cinema, picking up 34 years later and re-examining the events of The Katare Kid from Johnny Lawrence’s point of view. His life has stalled, and thus Johnny decides to reopen the Cobra Kai karate dojo, which rekindles his old rivalry with Daniel LaRusso.

The third and most recent season of Cobra Kai wrapped up with some big changes being made to the status quo, with Daniel's Miyagi-Do dojo joining forces with Johnny's new Eagle Fang students to defeat Cobra Kai, which has now been taken over by the menacing John Kreese. Their unexpected truce comes following a visit from another crucial character from The Karate Kid's past, Elisabeth Shue's Ali Mills Schwarber, which resulted in a much more healing experience than the characters, or the audience, could ever have expected.

The warring pair will need to learn to work together in season 4, something which William Zabka is very excited about. "I was thrilled Johnny and Daniel found common ground and aligned themselves at the end of Season 3," Zabka said. "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." It's a great note and launching point for all that's ahead in the story."

The no-doubt shaky union of Daniel and Johnny will face several major challenges in Cobra Kai season 4, as Kreese brings his own partner into the fray in the form of The Karate Kid Part III's Terry Silver. A character that many fans had hoped would return for more revenge-fuelled antics against Danny LaRusso and the legacy of Mr. Miyagi, Terry Silver will once again be portrayed by actor Thomas Ian Griffith, with his brutal, violent, and offensive techniques set to rival those of even John Kreese.

The first few seasons of Cobra Kai have been a huge hit for Netflix, and the upcoming fourth season is sure to continue the trend. Cobra Kai Season 4 will once again star Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, Courtney Henggeler, Xolo Maridueña, Tanner Buchanan, Mary Mouser, Jacob Bertrand, Gianni DeCenzo, Martin Kove, Vanessa Rubio, and Peyton List, and is set to be released on December 31.
