Codeblack Entertainment has begun production on the faith-based drama, A Good Man Is Hard to Find.

The film stars Golden Brooks, Darrin Dewitt Henson, Hill Harper, R&B singer Deborah Cox and Melissa De Sousa; it's the adaptation of the 1990s gospel stage play. The story concerns three women who each undergo romantic and spiritual crises. The stage play logged more than 1,500 performances from 1991-96, says Variety.

A Good Man Is Hard to Find is filming in Baton Rouge, La.; a theatrical release of January has been scheduled. Leslie Small is directing his own adaptation of the play by the Rev. David Payton.
