Sprouse is a former child actor who began performing alongside twin brother Dylan. As kids, the two worked on television (on series like Grace Under Fire and Friends), and feature films includingThe Astronaut's Wife and Big Daddy. The brothers eventually went on to star as the titular characters on the Disney Channel's popular series The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. They later reprised their roles for the spin-off The Suite Life on Deck.

Sprouse currently portrays Jughead Jones on the CW's Riverdale. Jughead is a central character and the series narrator. In May, fans of the popular show were shocked when it was announced that Riverdale's upcoming seventh season, debuting next year, would be its last. Throughout its run, the series, based on characters within the Archie Comics universe, has proven to be a great success for the network. Riverdale gained even more popularity when it became available on Netflix, becoming one of the streamer's most watched shows.

On the big screen, Sprouse recently starred in Moonshot, alongside Lana Condor, a science-fiction romantic comedy about two young adults who sneak on board a space shuttle to Mars, and Five Feet Apart, about two teenagers with cystic fibrosis attempting to start a relationship. Until last month, Sprouse starred in and produced the thriller podcast Borrasca. Up next, Sprouse headlines Diablo Cody's Lisa Frankenstein.
