Columbia Pictures, Will Smith's Overbrook Entertainment, and Escape Artists are set to produce the Jeff Henderson drug dealer-turned-star chef memoir, Cooked: From the Streets to the Stove, From Cocaine to Foie Gras.
The story chronicles the transformation of Henderson - aka Chef Jeff - from ex-con to executive chef at the Cafe Bellagio in Las Vegas, notes The Hollywood Reporter. He learned the art of gourmet cooking while serving a prison sentence for dealing crack cocaine. It's based on teh William Morrow novel that was recently published.
No production schedule has been set for Cooked.
