Columbia Pictures is stocking up on its comedy with two new acuisitions. According to Variety, the studio has picked up an untitled pitch from Mark Perez (Accepted) and the rights to the Anthony Moore novel, The Swap.

Adam Sandler's Happy Madison Productions will produce Perez's pitch, which revolves around a man in a failing marriage who conceives a way to create the perfect wife.

The studio has set scribes Tim and Tom Mullen to adapt The Swap, which centers on an unhealthy comic-book store owner who tries to reverse his fortunes at his high school reunion, after the loss of a prized comic book, only to be caught up in a series of events including a murder, romance and the revelation of some long-lost secrets.
