Fan favorite Q is being brought back to the James Bond franchise with Skyfall, where he will appear for the first time opposite Daniel Craig's 007 since the franchise returned in 2006 with Casino Royale. We have the first photo of Q, as played by Ben Whishaw.

Peter Burton first played the iconic character in 1962's Dr. No. Desmond Llewelyn then assumed the role from 1963 to 1999, and was replace by John Cleese from 1999 to 2002. Ben Whishaw is the youngest actor to ever take on the part.

Producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli had this to say about the return of Q.

"It's a real thrill to confirm the return of Q in Skyfall played by the enormously talented, Ben Whishaw. We are delighted to have this beloved character back in the series."
