Many times, when a movie shows off footage at Comic-Con, it doesn't arrive online until weeks, sometimes months, later. Obviously, Veronica Mars isn't your average movie, since the five-minute trailer with interviews and behind-the-scenes footage arrived online today, just one day after the Comic-Con panel. The footage includes new scenes, interviews with director Rob Thomas, Kristen Bell, Tina Majorino, Chris Lowell and Jason Dohring, along with several of the actual Kickstarter backers who got to visit the set. We also see a scene featuring Kristen Bell and Jamie Lee Curtis. Take a look at this extended trailer, then read the latest update from Rob Thomas.

"It's been a very long day, so I'll keep this short and sweet. This morning, we showed off the first footage from the movie in Hall H, to a packed crowd. Tomorrow, we'll share it with the press. I wanted you to see it tonight."

As we reported yesterday, there are only two more days of shooting left on Veronica Mars. Warner Bros. hasn't issued a release date yet, but this highly-anticipated crowd-funded movie is expected to hit theaters next summer.
