Last week, we reported that Lionsgate will debut the new trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 at Comic-Con today on the new Samsung Galaxy Tab device, although the new footage has not been officially released to the public quite yet. While we wait for the trailer to arrive, Lionsgate has released a slew of official images from The Capitol Gallery that has been set up at the Hard Rock Hotel in the San Diego Gaslamp District.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 cast members Natalie Dormer (Cressida), Evan Ross (Messalla), Elden Henson (Pollux), Mahershala Ali (Boggs) and Wes Chatham (Castor) were on hand to debut the trailer and open The Capitol Gallery, which fans can visit throughout the Con. Collider was on hand to watch the first trailer, which runs just over a minute long. The footage begins with a hovercraft touching down in District 13, with Plutarch Heavensbee (Philip Seymour Hoffman) and Alma Coin (Julianne Moore) discussing the importance of Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) to the rebellion. Plutarch begins by saying, "Listen to me. No one else can do this, but her." However, Alma has another opinion, stating, "She won't be able to handle it. The Games destroyed her."

The footage continues with shots featuring Natalie Dormer's Cressida and Liam Hemsworth's Gale, as Plutarch says, "We need to unite these people out there. She's the face of the rebellion." When he adds, "They'll follow her," we see Katniss for the first time, walking through District 13 as a crowd forms around her. The trailer continues with a rapid-fire montage of footage, including a massive Mockingjay symbol being mowed into a field, which President Snow (Donald Sutherland) is not pleased with, as he outlaws the Mockingjay symbol entirely, and a group of rebels being chased by Peacekeepers through the woods.

The trailer ends when a District 13 citizen ask Katniss, "Are you fighting, Katniss? Are you here to fight with us?" Katniss replies, "I am. I will."

What do you think of the footage description? We'll have the full trailer as soon as it's available, so stay tuned.
