"We have seen tremendous consumer excitement for The O.C. TV on DVD sets since the original release in October of 2004," said Rosemary Markson, WHV Vice President, TV Marketing. "Fans appreciate the added-value of the exciting bonus features available on the DVD. Warner Home Video expects that the DVD release of The O.C.: The Complete Third Season will add to the success of the franchise at retail."

The O.C. is a story about family, friendships, love in all forms, and the coming of age of four young people. In season three, Kirsten (Kelly Rowan) befriends a mysterious woman, Charlotte (Jeri Ryan), in rehab. Strapped for cash, Jimmy (Tate Donovan) returns to Newport Beach and even tangles with Julie (Melinda Clarke) again--but he's in way over his head this time. After the shocking events at the end of her junior year of high school, Marissa (Mischa Barton) finds herself in the role of a princess who has definitely been knocked off her pedestal, further straining her relationship with Ryan (Benjamin McKenzie). With Marissa temporarily brought low, Summer (Rachel Bilson) has some new competition for social chair, which shakes up her steady relationship with Seth (Adam Brody). And although his marriage with Kirsten may be on the mend, Sandy (Peter Gallagher) may have to embark on a brand-new career as a result of the changes in Kirsten's life.

New characters who hit the beach scene and caused fresh drama in sunny Newport, CA are Summer's goody two-shoes nemesis Taylor Townsend (Autumn Reeser), Ryan's rival Kevin Volchok (Cam Gigandet), Sandy's new partner Matt (Jeff Hephner), Summer's father Dr. Neil Roberts (Michael Nouri), Marissa's little sister Kaitlin Cooper (Willa Holland) and Ryan's new love interest, Sadie Campbell (Nikki Reed).
