NYPD Blue Season Three Synopsis

In the third season of this critically acclaimed and award-winning show, viewers continued to be riveted by the realistic, gripping stories. Part police drama, part human drama, the series revolves around the daily, and often violent, events in New York City’s 15th Precinct. But life is looking good as Detective Andy Sipowicz and his wife prepare for the birth of their first baby.

Sipowicz’s partner, Bobby Simone, is also beginning a new romance with fellow detective Diane Russell. Yet things are far from perfect, because as Sipowicz and Russell each continue their private struggle with the bottle, they find themselves sharing another unexpected bond�"the tragic death of a family member.
