The non-stop, action-packed thrill ride, Crank, starring Jason Statham and Amy Smart surges onto "Crank'd Out Mode" DVD and Blu-ray 50 GB (BD) discs on January 9, 2007. Leaving traditional special features behind, Lionsgate has created "Crank'd Out Mode," which provides more information (including in-depth interviews, behind-the-scenes-footage, outtakes and more) than has ever been available at one time, all without ever leaving the feature film. The technology of Blu-ray only enhances the experience, delivering the exhilarating content through the unparalleled 1080p HD standard. Crank contains other special features including Family-Friendly Audio which gives viewers the option to see the film without the usual "adult" vocabulary.

Crank tells the story of Chev Chelios (Statham), a hit man who freelances for a major West Coast crime syndicate. In an attempt to quit the professional killing business and start a new life with his girlfriend Eve (Smart), who is unaware of his "profession," Chev lets an intended target go free. He wakes up the next morning learning that he has been poisoned by his rival with the "Beijing cocktail," a poison that should kill him within an hour. Now, Chev must keep moving - literally - to stay alive. The only way to prolong the poison from stopping his heart is to keep his adrenaline flowing. As the clock ticks, Chev negotiates the streets of Los Angeles, wreaking havoc on those who dare stand in his way. He must rescue Eve from danger, stay two steps ahead of his nemeses as they try to eliminate him and search for an antidote to save his own life.
