Synopsis

"THE CONTROL OF TIME IS POTENTIALLY THE MOST VALUABLE TREASURE THAT MAN WILL EVER FIND." Or so believe the scientists of Project Tic Toc. Located beneath the Arizona desert, the ten-year project's focus is the feasibility of time travel. But when the government reconsiders the project, the scientists have only 24 hours to prove their untested "Time Tunnel" will actually work.

Determined to save the project, Dr. Tony Newman and Dr. Doug Phillips go through the tunnel - and quickly find themselves catapulted from one historical event to another, barely escaping with their lives as their colleagues back in Arizona race to figure out a way to bring them back home.

Science-fiction/fantasy visionary Irwin Allen (Lost In Space, "Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea") introduced sixties TV audiences to boundless adventure - and immeasurable peril - when he ushered them through an untested top-secret time portal in Time Tunnel debuting its second volume on DVD June 6 from Fox Home Entertainment.

Featuring dazzling time travel special effects that made Time Tunnel the most expensive television show of its time, the 1966 contemporary of the original "Star Trek" followed the time-trotting adventures of Dr. Tony Newman (Robert Colbert, "The Young And The Restless") and Dr. Douglas Phillips (James Darren, "T.J. Hooker").

Leaping through history, the two scientists try to alter the past while their colleagues back at the Tic-Toc base struggle to bring the wayward travelers safely home. Time Tunnel: Season 1, Vol. 2 features the final episodes of the ground-breaking science-fiction series, as well as interviews with the cast, a still gallery and Time Travelers, Irwin Allen's 1976 movie of the week. The four-disc Time Tunnel: Season 1, Vol. 2 DVD Collection is available for the suggested retail price of $39.98 U.S./$54.98 Canada.
