According to The Hollywood Reporter, a turn as substitute host in October on The Charlie Rose Show has led former Disney chief Michael Eisner to a more regular gig on his own CNBC primetime interview show.

Eisner will host Conversations With Michael Eisner, a bimonthly hourlong show that promises interviews with industry bigwigs and stars who exhibit what Eisner calls the spirit of creativity and innovation. A premiere date hasn't been announced.

The show will be taped at NBC Universal's headquarters at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, the place where the younger Eisner started his career as a page. Eisner left the Walt Disney Co. in September after two decades at the head of the company. He cut all business ties to Disney, though he remains a large shareholder. He said that he wanted "to be free to do things that would be interesting" but said that he wouldn't do things that would be harmful to Disney.
