Beloved cult icon Corey Feldman is returning to the big screen in his first lead role in a US release in over fifteen years. The actor will headline the romantic comedy The M Word, from acclaimed director Henry Jaglom.

Full story details have not yet been released, but the film will deal with the ultimate taboo subject amongst sophisticated woman of a refined age. It is not clear whom Corey Feldman will be playing in The M Word, but it is known that he will be appearing opposite Michael Imperioli, Tanna Frederick, Gregory Harrison, and Frances Fisher.

This is what Corey Feldman had to say about the upcoming project.

"For the first time in nearly 15 years I will have a lead role in an American Theatrical release! There would have been a time when I would have been embarrassed to say those words, as it would have shown a sign of weakness, or defeat, or failure. But today I state it PROUDLY! I have appeared in many theatrical films in the U.S. over the last 15 years. I have had many lead roles in films that have shown in theaters all over the world in the last 15 years. But I have not had a LEAD ROLE in a U.S. theatrical release in that amount of time. The name of the film is The M Word. It is a romantic comedy that deals with the ultimate topic of Taboo for sophisticated women. Not what comes to mind. The film will be released theatrically in late 2012."

Corey Feldman also recently wrapped a headlining role in the low budget horror film Six Degrees of Hell, where he will play a psychic investigator, and a cameo role in the New Orleans based thriller Zombex. He'll also soon be appearing on USA's Psych, as well as an episode of A&E's Celebrity House Hunter.
