Just hours ago we reported that Megan Fox would not be appearing in Transformers 3 and now it seems that there is already a front-runner for her replacement. The Wrap is reporting that Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time actress Gemma Arterton is the leading candidate to star in Transformers 3.

The site is reporting that Arterton has already had discussions with director Michael Bay for the role and that other potential replacements could be model/actresses Miranda Kerr, Brooklyn Decker and Bar Rafaeli.

It was said that Rafaeli and Kerr had been brought in to read for the role and that Bay, "will begin casting immediately" for the role.
