Hot off the news that Dan Mazeau had been contracted to write a screenplay for The Flash, we're now getting our first casting rumors for the film. According to ThinkMcFlyThink, Warner Brothers is looking at Scott Porter as one of the the top two contenders for the role of the Scarlet Speedster.

Porter, best known for his role on Friday Night Lights, was formerly considered the top contender for the role of Superman in Justice League: Mortal, the now-dead adaptation of DC's greatest superhero team from director George Miller.

According to the rumor, the studio has been keeping an eye on Porter for a role in one of their superhero films ever since Justice League: Mortal fell through.
