Courteney Cox-Arquette and David Arquette Confirmed for Scream 4

The acting couple will reprise their roles from the original horror trilogy.

Courteney Cox-Arquette and David Arquette Confirmed for ScreamIt seems that two characters from the {0} universe will be back for a fourth film. According to {1}, both Courteney Cox-Arquette and David Arquette will be returning for {2}.

"We're going to be doing Scream 4," David Arquette told the site. ""Kevin Williamson is writing the script at this moment, and hopefully Wes Craven is going to direct."

Neve Campbell was said to turn down a chance to reprise her role in the sequel, but Arquette added, "I hope Neve does it. I really hope so."

In the original film series, David Arquette portrayed police deputy Dewey Riley, while Courteney Cox-Arquette portrayed sensationalist TV reporter Gail Weathers.
