Courteney Cox has been with the Scream franchise since 1996. The actress has always been a part of the film and admitted that she had a lot of fun doing Scream VI. During her interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actress shares that she now has a favorite scene in the franchise after she had an up close and personal encounter with Ghostface.

Cox shares what she thought her Scream character was doing as the film hits theaters. She says, "Gale, when this movie opens, she lives in New York City, she's on a morning news program, and she's just doing her thing. Ghostface comes to town [following] Tera and Sam, and she's excited; it brings a little life to her job."

In the latest installment of the Scream franchise, Cox’s character Gale Weathers finally had the opportunity to have a face-to-face encounter with Ghostface. The actress says the filming for their meeting took a while to shoot. She tells EW, "That took a little while. That was the bulk of my time filming. It was very physical. It was my favorite scene that I've ever had in a Scream movie because I got to really fight with Ghostface."

The actress also revealed that Scream VI directors Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin motivated her to do the stunts herself. The directors wanted the actress to do as many stunts as possible. The Friends star also couldn’t believe she had done so much physical action, especially now that she’s 58 years old. She exclaims, "Oh God, I did so much.” The actress admitted she enjoyed doing her stunts.

"I can't believe that at this point in my life, I was able to do all that stuff. And I think the directors, they're so great...[but] I was like, is this normal, me doing this? I loved it; it was great. I was proud of myself."

Cox, who has been with the franchise since the beginning, said she was still thrilled to be a part of the film. However, this is the first time a Scream film did not star David Arquette and Neve Campbell. While Arquette is understandably no longer part of the franchise since his character, Deputy Dewey, already died in the last Scream film. Campbell had some disputes with the franchise due to salary disagreements.

When Cox was asked about it, she just said, "It feels good to be still around. I mean, I don't know what happens in this one, but it was just nice to make the cut, literally."

Scream VI is out now in theaters.
