Glee star Harry Shum Jr. has signed on for one of the four lead roles in Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon II - The Green Destiny for The Weinstein Company.

The story centers on four martial arts masters, Silent Wolf, Yu Shu-lien, Tie-Fang and Snow Vase, who band together to stop the villainous Hades Dai from obtaining a legendary sword known as the Green Destiny. We reported in April that Donnie Yen is portraying Silent Wolf, with Michelle Yeoh reprising her role from the original Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon as Yu Shu-lien. Harry Shum Jr. is portraying Tie-Fang. We also reported last August that Ziyi Zhang is returning as Jen Yu from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon in flashback sequences.

Legendary director and fight choreographer Woo-ping Yuen is directing from from a script by John Fusco, which is set 20 years after the events portrayed in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Production is slated to begin this week, with filming set to take place in China and New Zealand.
