The CW is moving ahead with a family drama. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network has given a put pilot commitment to the famlily drama Light Years.
The script, written by Liz Tigelaar, centers on an adopted, intelligent and rambunctious 15 year old girl who escapes the foster homes and seeks out her real parents, who had a one-night stand in high school. She finds her mom, a radio morning show DJ, and dad, a bar owner, and the three form an unorthodox family.
No production schedule was released for the pilot.
