British producer Damian Jones is reuniting with Noel Clarke for Fast Girls, a sports feature in the vein of Rocky, set to release around the London Olympics in 2012.

According to Variety, the project is being written by Clarke, who is also producing and possibly directing. The story follows a group of female London athletes vying to compete for their country at the 2012 games. Jay Basu is co-writing the project with Clarke.

In separate developments, Jones has attached writer Abi Morgan to work on his Margaret Thatcher biopic, which follows the former British prime minister's decision to lead her country into the Falklands War against Argentina.

Jones is also developing urban comedy The Weekend, starring British comedian Kojo. The comedy takes place in the London neighborhood of Hackney, and is said to be in the vein of Ice Cube starrer Friday. Simon Pearce is set to direct.

Jones is also developing Belle and Bette, described as a black Jane Austen project, with Misan Sagay penning the script.
