Daniel Radcliffe's name is synonymous with the Harry Potter franchise, playing the titular character through eight films for over a decade of his career. However, the 33-year-old actor is set to give another iconic performance as he portrays the famous parody singer 'Weird Al' in Weird: The Al Yankovic Story.

Radcliffe seems to completely transform himself into 'Weird Al' in the various trailers that have been released over the last few months. However, Radcliffe admits he initially felt he wasn't right for the part. The actor recently appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where he says he didn't know if he could pull off the role until he read the first page of the script.

"I knew Al, not personally, but I knew his work, I knew who he was so when I got the email being like, you know for the part of Al Yankovic in the Al Yankovic Story I was like, 'I mean, I'm very flattered. But there are surely other people that are closer physically to Al... And you know there's only about four foot between us. But then as soon as I was reading - honestly as soon as I read the first page of the script I was like, 'Oh right, okay I get what the joke is. Accuracy is not the point here, we're doing something else entirely.' And at that point I was like, 'Oh I can do this version of Al,' and it was so evident just from reading the script what a great, fun thing this would be to do. There's like six songs and two action sequences and like insane scenes that you get to do. So it was a very easy yes."

Weird: The Al Yankovic Story seems to be a film that parodies other celebrity biopics, as the life of the titular character is expanded upon in the film. The official synopsis for the movie reads: "Explores every facet of Yankovic's life, from his meteoric rise to fame with early hits like 'Eat It' and 'Like a Surgeon' to his torrid celebrity love affairs and famously depraved lifestyle."

The film boasts a tremendous cast, including Evan Rachel Wood as Madonna, Jack Black as Wolfman Jack, and Quinta Brunson as Oprah Winfrey. Julianne Nicholson, Patton Oswalt, Rainn Wilson, Thomas Lennon, and 'Weird Al' Yankovic himself will also appear in the movie. Weird: The Al Yankovic Story is nearly ready for release, arriving exclusively on the Roku Channel this Friday, Nov. 4.
