In a report from Deadline, The Suicide Squad (2021), star Daniela Melchior is confirmed to appear in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. She joins a select group of actors to appear in both DC and the MCU. Melchior worked with director James Gunn on The Suicide Squad, and now they are teaming up again for the third installment of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies. Although the role is reportedly small, the rising star will undoubtedly welcome the exposure. Gunn took to Twitter today to confirm the news. "I can confirm (and confirm she's wonderful in the role). [Daniela Mechior] is one of my favorite people and actors around, and I hope this is just the second of many projects we'll work on together."

For now, her role in the film is still unknown, as are the movie's plot details. However, we may learn more following Thor: Love and Thunder's release, which will feature Guardians team members. Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, and the rest of the crew will reprise their usual roles, with Will Poulter joining the cast as Adam Warlock. In the comics, Warlock is an artificial, perfectly created human who initially calls himself "Him." However, Him eventually rebels against his creators and decides to leave Earth. He ultimately encounters the High Evolutionary, who gives him the name "Warlock."
