Ain't It Cool News has received word that Danny Elfman will compose the score for Universal Pictures' The Wolf Man. Elfman's work can be seen everywhere from Wanted, Spider-Man, Batman to The Nightmare Before Christmas, Pee-Wee's Big Adventure and The Simpsons theme song. Before scoring, he was in the band Oingo Boingo.

Directed by Joe Johnston, the film is set in Victorian England and stars Benicio Del Toro, Anthony Hopkins, Emily Blunt and Hugo Weaving.

Del Toro will play a man who returns from America to his ancestral homeland, gets bitten by a werewolf and begins a hairy moonlight existence.

The Wolf Man opens in theaters on April 3.
