Danny Glover has just signed on to become a recurring character on the ABC series Brothers and Sisters. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor will be playing Sally Field's love interest.

TVGuide.com reports that Glover's character is Senator McCallister's presidential-campaign manager, and is described as extremely smart and charming, but also as a political shark.

Glover will appear in eight to ten episodes and marks a reunion for the Lethal Weapon actor and Field who appeared together in 1984's Places of the Heart, for which Field won an Oscar.

The dramatic series revolves around a family of adult siblings and their day-to-day lives. Sally Field plays single mother Nora Walker on the show.

Brothers and Sisters returns this fall with all new episodes.
