Danny Huston is in negotiations to join the cast of Big Eyes for director Tim Burton and The Weinstein Company.

Christoph Waltz and Amy Adams star as Walter Keane and Margaret Keane, whose paintings of big-eyed children captivated the nation in the 1950s and 1960s. The story also touches on the couple's decades-long dispute, after their divorce in 1965, over who actually painted these famous works of art. Danny Huston will play a hard-drinking gossip reporter in this drama.

Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski wrote the screenplay, with Lynette Howell producing alongside Tim Burton, Scott Alexander, and Larry Karaszewski. Production is scheduled to begin sometime this summer.

Danny Huston voices a role in Ari Folman's The Congress, and he will next be seen in Season 2 of Magic City, debuting next month on Starz.
