Yes! We're getting Daredevil Seasn 3! Tonight, the first-ever Netflix and Marvel San Diego Comic-Con panel took place in Ballroom 20, featuring the star-studded cast of the Netflix original series Marvel's Luke Cage. Moderated by Jeph Loeb, Marvel's Head of Television and Executive Producer on the show, the panel was packed with surprises and sneak peeks including an appearance by Jon Bernthal, who was introduced to fans as Frank Castle (The Punisher) in season two of Marvel's Daredevil, and will be starring in the Netflix original series Marvel's The Punisher, along with the announcement that Netflix has renewed Daredevil for Season 3.

Marvel and Netflix didn't announce how many episodes have been ordered for Season 3, or when the new season may air. The streaming service also revealed the logo for Marvel's The Defenders, which will unite Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist, as they face their biggest threat yet. Netflix still hasn't announced when both Iron Fist and The Defenders will air, along with Season 2 of Jessica Jones. Along with tons of exciting new footage and teasers, we also got an exciting teaser for Daredevil. It doesn't show any footage, as production hasn't started yet.

Marvel and Netflix declined to shed any light on the stories that may be told in Season 3 of Daeredevil, but we reported last month that one filmmaker wants to be a part of this season. Director Kevin Smith, who actually wrote a run of the Daredevil comics and had a cameo role in the 2003 Daredevil movie, revealed in an interview that he has been trying to get Marvel's Joe Quesada to let him direct an episodes, but we don't know if that will happen quite yet.

Last season, Daredevil introduced iconic comic book characters such as Punisher (Jon Bernthal) and Elektra (Elodie Yung), but we don't know which characters may debut in Season 3. There had been early rumors before production started on Season 2 that the producers were eyeing Jason Statham to play the iconic villain Bullseye, but that never came to fruition. Now that the show is coming back, perhaps it's the right time to bring Bullseye into the fold.

A Netflix/Marvel Comic Con sizzle featuring footage of Daredevil and Jessica Jones, along with a first look at Luke Cage kicked off tonight's Comic-Con panel, but in case you weren't there, you can check out this video below. We also have a brief video from the official Daredevil Twitter feed that teases the Season 3 renewal in an appropriate, Hells Kitchen fashion.
