Last night Marvel premiered it's latest sci-fi adventure Guardians of the Galaxy at The El Capitan Theater in Hollywood. Before the premiere, a Marvel reporter caught up with Daredevil's showrunner Steven S. DeKnight and discussed the upcoming superhero series.

Here he discusses the overall feel they are trying to reach in the series.

"We're going for a kind of very gritty, 1970s New York feel for the show. We love the idea of beauty in the decay of the city and Hell's Kitchen being a place that is both horrible and beautiful at the same time. That's why Matt Murdock loves it and wants to protect it."

Although the official synopsis for the series describes the show in modern day Hell's Kitchen, New York City, it seem they are still looking to bring that gritty 1970's vibe to the show.

He also reveals that the Pilot will be hitting Netflix sometime next year.

"We haven't set an exact date yet. We are hoping sometime next year."
