Feature filmmaker Darren Aronofsky is about to play small ball... on the small screen, that is. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Aronofsky has signed on to develop the AMC series Riverview Towers. Aronofsky will serve as the executive producer while John J. McLaughlin, who wrote the upcoming Aronofsky-helmed picture Black Swan, will write the script.

The series revolves around a family who moves into an apartment complex with paranormal activity. Patty Jenkins (Monster) is in negotiations to direct, should the project advance to a pilot, but a deal hasn't been finalized yet.

The series was previously set up at HBO two years ago with Aronofsky and McLaughlin.
