According to The Hollywood Reporter, David Lindsay-Abaire, a Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright in 2007 could very likely be writing Spider-Man 4. Lindsary-Abaire won the Pulitzer for his dramatic play Rabbit Hole.

Columbia is known for getting interesting choices to pen the Spider-Man films. Penning the second and third films was dramatic writer Alvin Sargent (Ordinary People). Another Pulitzer writer, Michael Chabon (Wonder Boys), did some work on Spider-Man 2.

Spider-Man 4 was also worked on at one time by James Vanderbilt (Zodiac).
