According to Variety, Disney has picked David Posamentier and Geoffe Moore to write Grandma's Intergalactic Bed and Breakfast.

The film is based on Clete Barrett Smith's book series. Hyperion is going to publish the first of Smith's novels in May.

Currently, three books are planned for the series that is about a "boy who spends the summer at his grandmother's bed and breakfast, which, he discovers, caters to aliens vacationing on Earth."

Disney and Mandeville grabbed the rights to the books about a year ago. Smith had not yet found a publisher for the books at that time.
