The CW's hit series The Flash returns from its midseason hiatus tonight with the first episode of 2016, Potential Energy, airing at 8 PM ET. Following that episode, fans will be treated to two brand new superhero specials, one highlighting DC's Legends of Tomorrow at 9 PM ET and another entitled Justice League at 9:30 PM ET. To get fans ready for the second special, DC Films has launched a new Facebook page, which features brand new artwork that gives fans their first look at The Flash and Cyborg. Curiously, though, the artwork is missing one key member of the Justice League.

This artwork does not include the seventh and final member of the Justice League, Green Lantern, who will be featured in the big screen adventure Green Lantern Corps., arriving in 2020. Warner Bros. has still not cast this superhero quite yet, but there have been rumors that the stand alone movie will include two iconic characters who serve as Green Lantern, Hal Jordan and John Stewart. You may recall that, back in February, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice revealed our first look at Jason Momoa's Aquaman, which featured the tagline "Unite the Seven," but this artwork is just one hero shy of doing so.

The artwork doesn't feature any of the actual stars in costume, only artistic depictions of them, but it's still not surprising that Green Lantern isn't included here, especially since we don't know if Hal Jordan or John Stewart will be part of the Justice League. It's possible that the studio could actually announce Green Lantern's casting during tonight's special, but we don't have any confirmation that the announcement will happen then. While Green Lantern Corps. doesn't debut until 2020, the character is expected to appear in Justice League Part 1 and Justice League Part 2, which starts production at the end of this year.

DC Films Presents: Dawn of the Justice League invites viewers behind the scenes of the exciting new movies coming out of the DC Films universe. The special culminates with the thrilling world premiere of the all-new trailer for Suicide Squad, DC's misfit crew of antiheroes forced into saving the world this summer, with director David Ayer. Hosted by filmmaker/writer/lifelong comics fan Kevin Smith, with special guest DC Entertainment's Geoff Johns, the special showcases the explosive landscape of DC's greatest heroes, kicking off with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, in theaters this March, and with a sneak peek from the upcoming Wonder Woman feature film.

Get a look at never-before-seen footage, and see interviews with such stars as Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot, and directors Zack Snyder and Patty Jenkins - just a few of the creative forces behind the much-anticipated film franchise that will bring together the greatest collective of Super Heroes in the upcoming Justice League feature film. And because no Super Hero could make his or her mark without a truly formidable foe, the special also provides glimpses of DC's most famous Super Villains. While we wait for this highly-anticipated special to air, take a look at this Justice League promo artwork below.
