The CW will adapted the DC Comics super heroine Raven into her own television series. Diego Gutierrez is set to write and produce the first episode, which will revolve around this half-demon who is best known on earth as Rachel Roth. The project will be produced through Warner Bros. TV and DC Entertainment, and it already has an episode pick-up order.

The character, created by Marv Wolfman and George Perez, is the daughter of a human and a demon born with the ability to read people's emotions and learn their innermost secrets. She can also teleport herself, and enter the mind of others, often using her super powers to keep bad guys in check.

The CW is looking at Raven as a replacement for Smallville, which concludes its series run after ten years this coming spring. Raven previously appeared as an animated character on The CW's own Teen Titans.
