During a massive three-hour panel in Hall H at Comic-Con last month, DC Entertainment's Geoff Johns confirmed that the comic book character Hawkman will be a part of the midseason TV series DC's Legends of Tomorrow. The character will join the previously-confirmed Kendra Saunders, a.k.a. Hawkgirl, played by Ciara Renee, but it wasn't known who is playing Hawkman, until now. Earlier today, DC confirmed that actor Falk Hentschel (Transcendence) has signed on to play Carter Hall, a.k.a. Hawkman.

On DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Carter Hall is the latest reincarnation of an Egyptian Prince who is fated to reincarnate throughout time along with his soulmate, Kendra Saunders. Like Kendra, Carter can access the powers of the Hawk God, Horus, transforming him into the winged warrior known as Hawkman. It was reported last month that Carter Hall will first appear on The CW's hit shows Arrow and The Flash before DC's Legends of Tomorrow. The CW is also developing a Hawkgirl spinoff series, which could feature Hawkman as well.

DC's Legends of Tomorrow also stars Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter, Franz Drameh as Jay Jackson, Victor Garber as Dr. Martin Stein, Caity Lotz as White Canary, Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold, Dominic Purcell as Heat Wave and Brandon Routh as Atom. Caity Lotz's White Canary has also been confirmed to appear on Arrow early on in Season 4, to set up her resurrection as White Canary. The actress previously starred as Black Canary on The CW series, before she was killed in the Season 3 premiere.

When heroes alone are not enough... the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat - one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known? Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, Sarah Schechter and Marc Guggenheim will serve as executive producers of DC's Legends of Tomorrow.

Falk Hentschel most recently guest starred in an episode of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and in a seven-episode arc on the CBS series Reckless. His big-screen credits include Transcendence, White House Down and Knight and Day. Do you think this actor is a good fit to play Hawkman?
