Casting is ramping up on Fox's DC Comics adaptation Lucifer, with D.B. Woodside signing on to play the angel Amenadiel. He is joined by two more casting additions, Rachael Harris and Nicholas Gonzalez. These new cast members will all have series regular roles, and will be joined by previously-confirmed cast members Tom Ellis (Lucifer), Lina Esco (Mazikeen) and Lauren German (Chloe Dancer).

The series centers on Lucifer, who decides to abandon his post in hell and sets up shop in Los Angeles, where he helps the L.A.P.D. punish guilty criminals, just for fun. Lauren German's Chloe Dancer is an L.A.P.D. detective who works with Lucifer to solve a murder case, as the Devil is struck by her pure goodness and starts to believe that there may be hope for humanity after all. Mazikeen is a demon who takes the form of a beautiful woman.

Californication creator Tom Kapinos wrote the pilot script and is serving as an executive producer alongside Len Wiseman, who is directing the pilot episode, Jonathan Littman and Jerry Bruckheimer. KristieAnne Reed serves as co-executive producer. Both D.B. Woodside and Rachael Harris recently starred on USA Network's Suits, and Nicholas Gonzalez recently had an arc on Fox's Sleepy Hollow.
