Much of the future of the X-Men franchise is very uncertain, but one thing we can count on is that Deadpool 2 is coming in 2018. We don't know a whole lot about the sequel just yet, but we do know that the mutant Cable is going to be in it, and it looks like Domino may be joining them as well. It also looks like Fox may want Kyle Chandler and Mackenzie Davis to take on the roles. Should that come to pass, we now know what that could look like in the movie.

Recently, a rumor from Meet The Movie Press claimed that Chandler and Davis were the top choices to fill the roles of Cable and Domino respectively by the studio. That being the case, fan artist BossLogic decided to get to work and show us all what the two would potentially look like as the famous mutants. If fans were not encouraged by the potential casting of these these two prior, after seeing this art, they may very well change their mind.

Cable was confirmed to be part of the Deadpool sequel courtesy of a post credit scene in the first movie. The character is a fan favorite and has a long history with Deadpool in the comics, and fans have been wanting him to show up in the X-Men franchise for quite some time. Once it was announced that Cable would be joining Wade Wilson for his next big screen outing, many actors threw their names in the hat such as Stephen Lang, Ron Perlman and even Dolph Lundgren. There was quite a bit of fan support for all of those choices, but it looks like Fox may be going in a very different direction, given that Kyle Chandler doesn't have much of a history with big time action.

The addition of Domino hasn't been officially announced, but would make a lot of sense for Deadpool 2. The character was also part of X-Force, a team Deadpool is very heavily associated with in the comics. Not only that, but Domino is also the love interest for Cable in the comic books, so that would also be another thread that could be pulled, should both characters wind up in the movie together. Domino is an expert marksman and is very skilled in hand to hand combat, but her real power comes from her mutant power of being able to telekinetically manipulate probability. That could be very fun to play with on screen.

Deadpool has been one of the biggest blockbusters of the year, and the highest grossing R rated movie of all time with $782.6 million worldwide. Not only that, but unlike other superhero movies, it was made for just $58 million. Even before the movie hit theaters, 20th Century Fox seemed to understand that they had a pretty big hit on their hands, and they green lit a sequel with original writers Rhett Reese, and Paul Wernick. Given this proposed casting, the movie seems to be avoiding expensive, big name stars, and going for well known, cheaper TV actors to take on these two very important characters in the X-Men franchise.

There is no official release date set for Deadpool 2 yet, but we do know that it is coming in early 2018, and that the creative team behind the first movie will be returning, which of course includes director Tim Miller and Ryan Reynolds. We know that Cable will for sure be in the movie, and it looks like Domino may very well be joining them. Be sure to check out BossLogic's fan art renditions of Mackenzie Davis as Domino and Kyle Chandler as Cable for yourself below.
