Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman was a smash hit over the summer and the sequel is scheduled to begin production in a few months, with Diana Prince expected to make an "X" with her forearms to deflect attacks again. So, when Gal Gadot caught wind of the new Deadpool 2 trailer where Wade Wilson does the same move, she took to social media to call out actor Ryan Reynolds in a funny exchange. Obviously, Wade Wilson is giving the sign for X-Force, not deflecting weapons, but the similarity is pretty funny.

The new trailer for Deadpool premiered last week and fans were instantly taking every scene apart to look for Easter Eggs. However, many focused on Deadpool making the "X" pose and attributed it to Wakanda since Black Panther is the biggest superhero movie in the world right now and fresh in everybody's minds. It appears that last summer is too far out of people's minds to remember that Wonder Woman does the same thing with her arms.

Gal Gadot did not forget. She tweeted at Ryan Reynolds and said, "Dude stole my look!" To which Ryan Reynolds responded, "Imitation is the sincerest form of larceny." Fans of both actors had a good time laughing about Gadot "calling" Reynolds and Deadpool 2 out, in a rare friendly meeting of the DC and Marvel crowds. Many fans posted pictures of Chadwick Boseman's T'Challa doing the same pose and some minor arguing went on about who did it first, which is humorously absurd. There were also some pretty NSFW gifs and other posts that you can check out on your own time.

Black Panther is, as of this writing, the highest grossing superhero movie of all time in North America, beating out the first Avengers movie in less than two months into its theatrical run. Wonder Woman was the surprise hit of the summer and has become the highest grossing DCEU movie released thus far, as well as the best reviewed. Deadpool 2 is coming up next, where it will battle with Infinity War and Solo: A Star Wars Story. That is definitely some tough competition, but the sequel is on track to do its own damage to the minds of moviegoers when it's released in May.

Deadpool 2 hits theaters on May 18th, while Wonder Woman 2 begins filming this summer ahead of its November 1st, 2019 release date. Maybe Patty Jenkins and Gal Gadot will throw in a little joke referring to who does the "X" with their arms better, we'll just have to wait and see. But, that maneuver seems more in line with something that Wade Wilson would do while breaking the fourth wall in the upcoming sequel. You can check out the faux Twitter war between Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds below and choose your side wisely. The "war" started from Gal Gadot's Twitter account.
